With the current work force crisis in our field, it is more important than ever for agencies to develop well-trained and highly
skilled supervisors. The JBFCS Institute for Child Care Professionalization and Training is pleased to offer two, three-day courses on "Effective Supervisory Practice." These courses complement each other but can also stand alone in developing
competencies to “manage in the middle.” (Part 1 does not need to be taken before part 2) This nationally- known curriculum was
developed by Floyd Alwon, EdD, Director of the CWLA Walker-Trieschman Center and is taught by Frank Delano, LMSW, a
Walker-Trieschman Center approved master trainer.

Of special interest to:
Supervisors and directors from a wide variety of levels and disciplines in social work/mental health settings.

Participants will:
• Learn to use Dr. Alwon’s "action plan" approach
• Develop a personalized plan for implementation of these skills
• Receive certificates of completion from both JBFCS and the CWLA Walker-Trieschman Center
• Come together again for a three-hour meeting four months after the original course to review the progress of their plans

Time: 9:00 - 4:30pm (all courses)
