The JBFCS Center for Trauma Program Innovation actively disseminates knowledge about state-of-the art
trauma services and treatment approaches throughout New York City and New York State. Since its founding
in 1998, it has developed innovative programs that address family, community and societal violence and the
impact of disasters and terrorism. The Center promotes the development of new trauma services for children
and their families, both on the local and national level. In just the last 3 years it provided more than 640 hours
of trauma training for well over 5,000 professionals from both JBFCS and community agencies and schools.
