The goals of these training sessions are to provide the
theoretical background, the knowledge base, and the
skill sets necessary to facilitate Loss and Bereavement
groups for JBFCS or at your own agency.
Having received this training, you will be eligible to run
such groups on a Fee-for-Service basis for the L&B
program. In addition, we hope that the material covered
will enhance your capacity to attend to bereaved
persons in your own agency or “home program” within
JBFCS, resulting in an overall improvement in the
capacity of JBFCS to serve the bereaved across the five
boroughs and Westchester.

adolescence treatment approaches
The development of off-site groups for children and adolescents
The caregiver group and the milieu worker training group
